In June 2013, we commissioned an independent market research firm to conduct research on current recruitment practices for middle management and executive positions in the Canadian insurance industry, with some very interesting results.
Here’s what you’ll learn from this report:
- The biggest challenges faced by those responsible for recruiting, hiring and retaining mid to senior level talent in the insurance industry. For example, 45.5% of respondents frequently deal with employees seeking premature promotions.
- Which methods insurance industry organizations are using to recruit for executive positions and how those differ from those used for middle management. 61% use different methods to recruit senior executives.
- The most important criteria for insurance industry organizations when selecting an executive search firm. 55% prefer that search firm consultants have previous experience
